White and Red Viscera Sliding Chute

White and Red Viscera Sliding Chute

The White and Red Viscera Sliding Chute provides a simple, washable route for moving organs away from the evisceration point. In a well‑planned sheep line, it prevents edible and non‑edible material from being carried by hand across a platform and keeps the transfer path defined. The chute can serve red viscera, white viscera or two segregated duties when the surrounding layout provides the required separation.

The reference unit is made entirely from 304 stainless steel with a 2 mm sheet thickness. It has no motor, gearbox or chain, so maintenance is limited mainly to cleaning, inspection and checking the supports. Correct installation is more important than complexity: the inlet height, slope, edge treatment and receiving container must allow viscera to move without splashing, backing up or contacting the floor.

Product Overview

Working Principle

Viscera are placed into the upper end of the chute after removal from the carcass. Gravity carries the material down the smooth stainless surface to an inspection tray, conveyor, collection bin or processing table. The chute angle supplies the movement; no powered drive is required. During sanitation, the open profile allows direct rinsing and visual inspection. For separate red and white offal streams, the plant should use independent chutes or a positively separated arrangement rather than relying on timing alone.

Main Features

  • Full 304 stainless‑steel construction in the reference configuration

  • 2 mm sheet thickness for a practical balance of rigidity and cleanability

  • Open, smooth transfer surface with no concealed conveyor return path

  • Gravity operation with no motor, reducer or electrical cabinet

  • Compact footprint for mounting beside an evisceration platform

  • Can discharge to an offal conveyor, inspection table or dedicated receiving bin

Application

The chute is used at sheep and goat evisceration stations, veterinary inspection areas and offal collection points. It is appropriate for new lines as well as low‑cost upgrades where operators currently lift viscera into floor bins. The final arrangement must preserve inspection correlation between carcass and offal, prevent cross‑contact between material streams, and leave enough space for washing the chute and the floor below it.

Reference Application Case

Reference application: a 120‑head‑per‑hour sheep abattoir positions one chute below the red‑offal removal table and a second chute at the white‑offal station

Each chute discharges into its own colour‑coded tray conveyor. The veterinary inspector can follow the trays beside the carcass rail, while rejected material is diverted at a separate point. The chutes are mounted with removable retaining brackets so sanitation staff can expose the wall and platform edges. The example describes a layout concept, not a completed customer installation.

Advantages

  • 1. Low mechanical complexity and minimal routine maintenance

  • 2. Shortens manual handling distance at the evisceration platform

  • 3. Stainless surface is straightforward to wash and visually inspect

  • 4. Can be fabricated into a line‑specific inlet and discharge arrangement

  • 5. Helps keep offal movement organized around the inspection sequence

White and Red Viscera Sliding Chute FAQ

  • Can one chute be used for both red and white viscera?

It can be assigned to either duty, but simultaneous streams should be physically separated to protect hygiene and inspection traceability.
  • What slope is required?

The source does not state an angle. The equipment supplier should set the slope after considering product condition, transfer distance and receiving height.
  • Is a cover recommended?

A cover or splash guard may be useful where overhead contamination is possible, provided it can be opened or removed for complete cleaning.
  • Can the dimensions be customized?

Yes, chutes are commonly adjusted to the platform and conveyor interface. Confirm that any change preserves stiffness, cleanability and operator access.
  • What spare parts are needed?

There are few wear parts. Plants normally keep replacHTnt mounting hardware, edge guards and any removable spray fittings used in their own installation.
